UX and UI design for GIS applications
The Agricultural, Forestry and Water Management Computing Centre (LFRZ) is an IT service provider for the public sector and provides, among other things, web platforms with web GIS applications (e.g. interactive online maps of floods, earthquakes, lightning density).
These web GIS applications were completely redeveloped in terms of UX and UI. FONDA created a style guide for this, taking into account optimal user experience and usability – especially on smartphones.
In order to be able to guarantee good usability, the user interface concept was checked in user tests.
